ABOUT COUNTRY DAY

Fun and excitement abound each year on the 2nd Saturday of October when Cedar Hill celebrates Country Day on the Hill.

Country Day on the Hill will be held Saturday, October 8 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 2022 marks the 85th annual event that features a parade, arts and craft vendors, food, activities, contests, and live entertainment on three stages in Historic Downtown Cedar Hill. 

Don’t miss the Old Settlers’ Reunion on Friday, October 7 at 5:30 p.m. and enjoy a light supper, free bingo, prizes, and the crowning of the King and Queen of the Hill.

Parking & Shuttles

FREE parking for participants is available at Cedar Hill High School (1 Longhorn Blvd.). A free shuttle service begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs throughout the day from the High School to the event.

Handicap Parking is available at Jeter & Son Funeral Home at 332 Cedar Street with shuttle to the downtown square.

Vendor parking is at the intersection of Cooper and Houston streets. Vendors must park at this parking lot, no exceptions. 

Princess Pageant

Saturday, October 8, 2022
Noon to 1:45 p.m.

Awards are presented at the conclusion of the pageant. Winners will receive a trophy, crown, and sash. 1st and 2nd runners-up will receive a trophy. All participants receive a ribbon. Complete a registration form and turn it in, along with $25 cash, at Stacia’s School of Dance, 212 Houston St. (after 4 pm weekdays or 9 a.m. to Noon on Saturdays, use the mail slot in the door for after-hours drop-off) Or mail to P.O. FUMC Mission 5k Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk

Saturday, Oct. 8, start time: 7:30 a.m.
First United Methodist Church, Cedar Hill
128 N. Roberts Rd.

Entry fee is $25 up until the week of the race. It will be $30 the week before and $35 the day of the race. Families or groups of 4 or more will get a $2.00 discount per person.

Come run, come all to the 25th Annual 5K Mission Fun Run or 1 mile walk. Kicking off Country Day on the Hill, our theme this year is “God Speed”. We encourage families with children, babies in strollers, and pets on leashes. Kids under ten are free.

This year’s run will be managed and chip timed by Cox Racing Services. Finalists from each division will be recognized at the awards ceremony following the run.
